Our method

From sky to chart.

The chart starts with astronomical positions. The free preview applies traditional Western astrology meanings to those placements.

Birth data and the sky

Saiga Atlas uses Astronomy Engine to calculate geocentric positions for the Sun, Moon, and eight planets. Your birthplace provides coordinates and a timezone. Your local birth time is converted to the corresponding instant before the calculation runs.

Which system we use

The chart uses the tropical zodiac and Equal houses. When you leave the time unknown, the wheel uses local noon as a reference and omits the Rising sign and houses. The calculator checks across the local day for possible changes of planetary signs.

How the free interpretation works

Each interpretation comes from fixed text tied to a specific placement. For instance, the relationships section uses Venus and the communication section uses Mercury. The same placements produce the same preview. All calculations run in your browser and use no generative AI service.

Sources

Planetary positions use Astronomy Engine. The city catalog uses GeoNames data under CC BY 4.0, with names and locations indexed for search. The browser supplies historical timezone rules.
