A chart is more than a sun sign

In natal astrology, a birth chart represents the positions of celestial bodies for a particular time and place. The Sun, Moon, and Ascendant are often used as a starting point, but they are not the whole chart.

The Sun: a central theme

Astrologers often interpret the Sun through identity, vitality, and personal expression. Think of it as one symbolic lens for exploring how you want to show up, rather than a complete description of who you are.

The Moon: the inner landscape

The Moon is traditionally associated with feeling, habits, and comfort. You might use its symbolism to ask what helps you feel settled, what you return to, and how you respond when life feels unfamiliar.

The Rising sign: your point of entry

The Ascendant is the zodiac degree rising on the eastern horizon at the birth time and location. In interpretation, it is often connected with approach and first impressions. It requires reliable birth-time information; it cannot be calculated from a birthday alone.
